Communion Sunday On The First Sunday at 9:30 AM Communion, as we call it, is known by many names. Some call it Holy Communion, others call it the Eucharist, and others call it the Lord’s Supper. Regardless of the name we call it, the commemoration of the sacrificial death of Jesus is the most widely observed tradition and the sacrament of the Christian church. This Sunday, let's gather together and remember His sacrifice. The elements will be passed during the service in the auditorium. Glutton Free Crackers will be available at Guest Services upon request. If you are joining us ONLINE, please prepare your element and join us as we take communion together.

2nd Saturdays On the second Saturday of each month, our team collects food, packs it in boxes, and gives it to those in need. If you're interested in helping our community, join us and/or bring some of the most needed items on the list below. As usual, we will start a 9 AM with our table set-up and then move all food items over to the table to box. Our needs for this month include the items listed below. Brian and Tina Farbelow are so happy to be in this group where God lets us be a community meeting the needs of our friends and families. Current food needs: Regular-size box of cereal (40) Regular-size cans of soup (50) A standard size can of vegetables (24) Small pasta sauce (25) Jelly (30) Black beans of Refried Beans ((24) Small bags of Rice (30) Powdered Potatoes (30) Box of Spaghetti (30) A regular can of Ravioli, Spaghetti, etc. (40) A standard can of Pork n Beans (38) A standard can of canned meat – tuna or chicken (40) We can all make a difference in the lives of our community. We would like to invite you to serve with us at Hesed House on the Third Thursday. On Average, there are around 200 guests in the adult shelters and 20 in the family shelter. The family shelter numbers seem to fluctuate. Our needs are the same as we can use assistance on the following shifts: Adult PADS shelter: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM meal prep Adult PADS shelter: 6:00 PM – 8:30ish PM meal serve/kitchen duty/meals for late guests Adult PADS shelter: 3:00 AM – 5:00 AM (Friday morning) Breakfast Prep Adult PADS shelter: 4:30 AM – 7:00 AM (Friday morning) Breakfast Serve Family Shelter: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM If you are able to serve alongside us, please let me know as we could really use the help. Of course, you are always welcome to join us for the entire time as many of you already do. May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you always!

God is Good! Effective this month Ginger Creek is back at Hesed House serving on a limited sign up volunteer basis. The information below will provide you with probably too much detail. The links below are for updating an existing volunteer profile, or creating a new one! Volunteer Profile Update Link – Note: this will likely involve resetting/creating a password. If volunteers are new to Hesed or didn't have a profile from before, the new volunteer application link is below: Volunteer Application - Hesed House Family Shelter Volunteer dinner shift information: The volunteer shift is from 4-8 p.m. for up to 4 total volunteers in the kitchen/program area. The Family Shelter will return to its 6 p.m. serving time. The volunteers can actually come as early as needed to have the meal hot and ready for 6 p.m.! The 6 p.m. serving time works best for the Family Shelter, because it allows the children an extra hour to sleep. Up to four fully vaccinated, adult volunteers age 18 or over, can serve in the family shelter kitchen/program area. If the group is grilling outside, an additional 1-3 vaccinated volunteers can do the grilling on the Family Shelter grill outside!
