Precepts Bible Study
The goal of a Precepts study is to establish you in God’s word using the Bible as the primary text. Study and fellowship are integrated into one wonderfully vibrant, thriving study group. Questions: Contact Karyn Pearson
Isaiah is the crown jewel of Old Testament prophets, a book that strikes awe in the heart of its reader. Prophecies from Isaiah are mentioned in twenty-two places in the Gospels, Acts, and Romans. The words of Isaiah were often found on the lips of the Christ, the Messiah whom the prophet Isaiah foretold. If Jesus, God incarnate, honored this grand and glorious book so highly, then you and I ought to do the same.
This coming year in Precept we will study the entire book of Isaiah using two workbooks. Isaiah Part 1 is entitled “The Word of the Holy One to Israel, the Remnant, and the Nations . . . and the Promise of the Child to Be Born.” It includes 14 lessons which cover Isaiah Chapters 1 – 39. In Part 1, we’ll meet the Holy One of Israel, and learn how He deals with those who claim Him as God but don’t honor Him as God in the way that they live. We’ll discover the destiny of nations, and the future of all mankind, including ours. Isaiah Part 2 is entitled “Comfort My People.” It includes 9 lessons which cover Chapters 40 – 66. In Part 2 we learn that the Lord told Isaiah to speak kind words to Israel. He wanted to comfort His people with the promise of great restoration for them. We too can learn to take comfort in the promises of God as we face the uncertainty of the days ahead.
Meets: Three (3) Thursdays per month, 9:15 to 11:30 AM in the basement classroom (SC01) of Ginger Creek Community Church from September 2014 through May 2015, beginning September 11th. The first hour of class time is workbook discussion and the second hour is DVD teaching by Kay or David Arthur.
Costs: Part I workbook, $31.50 / Part II workbook, $20.25

Women’s Bible Study “Jonah”
Interruptions. They’re aggravating. Sometimes infuriating. They make us want to tell people what we think of them. But how we handle interruptions actually tell us more about ourselves. The prophet Jonah’s existence was interrupted by a call of God that would require a complete change of life. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city.
