On Saturday, December 9th, Ginger Creek will be hosting a Christmas Gift Mart for families at O’Donnell Elementary School. Gift Mart seeks to reimagine the holiday charity model by harnessing the generosity of communities to do more than just place toys under the tree in under-resourced neighborhoods. In an effort to preserve dignity, parents from O’Donnell Elementary School in East Aurora have been able to choose gifts for their children at a discounted price of $2 per toy. All proceeds from the sale of the toys will go back to O’Donnell Elementary School. children.
Be a part of reaching our community by joining our team to help plan, shop, set up and host the event.

Host a Toy Drive
One of the best ways to aid our mission is to organize a toy drive. It’s as easy as 1-2-3:
Set a time frame for the toy drive; pick your dates in advance and plan it early. This time of year is close enough to Christmas so people will be in the spirit of giving. Make sure to leave enough time after the deadline for stragglers to bring their presents in. Choose five days prior to the last day of collection.
Collect the toys from your drive and drop them off at Ginger Creek Community Church, 2850 Ginger Woods Parkway, Aurora, IL 60502.
Every Sunday from now to the day of the event. (November 5th – December 3rd)

It’s truly amazing that our church family who donated their time and toys to the families at O’Donnell were able to make a difference in their lives and in our community.Tito
A mother stopped by the Prayer Room on her way out. When one of the partners asked how we could help, she said she needed peace in her life. As we prayed and shared scripture about God’s “gift” to all mankind and His plan for true peace through His son Jesus, she came to faith in God.Norma
We came away with a long list of people that wanted to know more about Ginger Creek and about how to know Jesus better. We also gave away nearly all of our New Testaments and Veggie Tales DVDs. That is the truest form of success that I think we can measure by.Carol
