Titherosity 2010: The Church Has Left the Building PDF
Titherosity

Titherosity…
It’s all about GENEROSITY. For the next five weeks (beginning February 7) we will allocate 15% of each Sunday’s offering to the missional needs both here in Aurora and around the globe. With God leading us we hope to accomplish the goals listed below over the next five weeks.

GOAL #1: Maternity Home  GOAL MET!
Out of concern for unborn babies and their mothers, we are teaming up with other local churches to provide shelter, food, clothing and mentoring to pregnant women. The desire is to offer homeless, pregnant moms a haven of security, comfort and stability in a loving, supportive, structured Christian home. The program will be designed to reinforce a positive lifestyle and promote social, emotional and spiritual growth.

GOAL #2: Relief for Haiti  GOAL MET!
In February Ginger Creek will pack 500,000 meals for the victims affected by the recent earthquake in the Port-au-Prince area. We will also purchase medical equipment that Love-A-Child told us they need in order to provide medical care for the Haitians.

GOAL #3: Equipping & Farm Development GOAL MET!
We’re committed to continued training the Pastors in Nicaragua. Most Pastors there don’t have the opportunity to attend Bible College or Seminary, so we’re creating a series of training seminars to deepen their knowledge in theology and ministry knowledge. We’re also committed to helping create sustainable businesses in La Chureca (the Managua city trash dump) and Tipi Tapa. We’ll also be proving Maria Magdalena Zeas with resources to reach more of her community for Christ by providing vital everyday necessities to her neighbors in La Chureca.

GOAL #4: Education & Staffing
If we accomplish this goal, we’ll be able to see hundred of kids receive an education. The education system is vital to breaking the cycle of poverty and unemployment that plague Nicaragua. The money from Goal #4 will provide salaries for the teachers as well as educational supplies for the students.

GOAL #5: Building, Feeding Station & Homes

Hunger is a severe problem in Nicaragua. As our final goal for Titherosity, we want to pay for the construction of a new feeding center where local pastors will be able to feed hundreds of kids with Feed My Starving Children food.  We’ll also use the funds from this goal during our Operation Helping Hands trip to Nicaragua to construct new homes on Pochocuape and Tipi-Tapa.

100% of the five-week 15% offering will be allocated for these needs.
